How to Pray

I've been praying so much lately, and in my small feeble mind, I see no other way to pray except, "GOD, please bring Kirill home." But he is so much bigger than my tiny mind. I've stopped praying for safety, for comfort, for what "I" think should happen. What I'm praying, and I ask you to join me, is that GOD is glorified. That's it. Plain and simple. There is no other reason we are here on this earth other than to bring glory to God. If I have to suffer the pain of waiting longer or the suffering of loss, I will do it and I will find joy in the journey through God, somehow.

Of course we will continue to BEG God to allow Kirill to be our son here on Earth. But if he never is allowed to be a part of our family, I will be able to hold him again in Heaven. And somehow, even if that is the outcome, God will be glorified. I can't see how right now. I can't understand. But that doesn't matter. Because we trust God and his infinite wisdom that is so much greater than us or our plans. Glory to him. Thank you for letting us be your servants Lord.

  2. I just wanted you to know that you are NOT alone! The army of the Almighty God is mobilized and standing with you, friend. We're holding up your arms in this battle and we will NOT waiver in our faith to see HIS will done in this whole situation.

    He is ABLE!

  3. Know that right now we are here in Atlanta praying over you both, Kirill, and the Supreme Court in Moscow. God is Almighty in all things and He will be with you every step of the way. Rest in His comfort now to gather the strength you will need over the next 2 weeks. Blessings!

  5. Let me first start by saying that I found your blog when looking for a family to monetarily support in their adoption. It isn't much, but a group of friends and I try to pledge $50 to a new family each month for their adoption.

When I read about you- I was amazed. You are so much like my beloved sister that I had to tell my friends that ok - this is our family this month!

And then- we saw what happened with Kirill. You may not know it, but there are people all over this country (and from what I saw on another blog- around the world) praying with hurting hearts for you and Kirill since was learned what had occurred..

We will pray for the glorification of God- and- with my puny human heart and eyes- what that translates to- is Kirill coming home as well as more awareness and help for those left behind.

  12. Hi! I have been following your journey, as we are a fellow RR family. When I read this post I couldn't help but think of this verse,

From 2 Corinthians 4 v.13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”[b] Since we have that same spirit of[c] faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

We continue to lift up your family in prayer and thank God for your example of love and faith!

We have been praying for you and are so happy now !!! For the possible dehydration, try apple juice. Most kids will drink it. We used it on both adoptions.
